It’s hard to believe we are nearly at the end of 2024.
We still have lots to complete over the next couple of weeks.
Remembrance Day:
The Year 3 students and their teachers are to be commended on their reverent prayer for Remembrance Day last Monday 11th November. We thank them for the time and dedication they put into the prayer.
Assembly:
Tomorrow Year 5P will present their prayer assembly at 2:00pm in the school hall.
Year 5 Leadership Speeches:
Next Tuesday (26th November), our Year 5 students will share their leadership speeches at 8:45am in the hall, ready for voting for School Captains and Sports Captains responsibilities in 2025. Captains for 2025 will be announced at our End of Year Mass on Friday, December 6th at 12:00 noon.
Year 6 Final Assembly:
Next Thursday (28th November) at 12:00 noon in our school hall, our Year 6 students will share their thoughts and memories about their time at OLOL.
Presentations will be made to academic award winners from Years 5 and 6 at this assembly – all are welcome.
Prep Retreat:
Prep will be experiencing their retreat at Newtown Park on Friday 29th November– weather permitting.
Children will need to bring a towel for sitting on, morning tea, a water bottle, and a hat.
Year 6 Graduation Mass:
The Year 6 Graduation Mass is on Tuesday, 3rd December in the OLOL Church starting at 6:30pm. Children wear their smart formal summer uniform with black shoes for this occasion. Please check with the Year Six teachers for further arrival and organisational information.
Christmas Concerts:
Our OLOL Christmas Concerts are on Wednesday 4th December in our school hall.
11:30am – Year 3-6
2:00pm – Prep –2
Please check the Music Drama section in this Newsletter for the Costume requirements for each year level.
We thank Mrs Rosier for her coordination of this concert and Mrs Simmons for creating the backdrop.

You're Invited to Our Lady of Lourdes
St Vincent De Paul Donations:
Please continue to send in non-perishable items and gift cards for our St Vincent De Paul Christmas Collection. We will give these donations to our St Vincent De Paul Chapter at our End of Year Mass. Our St Vincent De Paul Chapter will distribute our donations amongst the less fortunate in our parish community. A big thank you to those who have already thoughtfully donated.
End of Year Prayers:
Our classes will be holding End of Year prayer celebrations – Please keep an eye out for classroom information on dates and times over the next couple of weeks.
End of Year Mass:
Our OLOL End of Year Mass is on Friday 6th December at 12:00 noon in our school hall. All are welcome to join us for this Mass. We will farewell our leaving teachers and announce our School Captains and Sports Captains for 2025 at this Mass.
You are welcome to take your child home after Mass on Friday 6th December - please let your classroom teacher know.
Confirmation and First Eucharist 2025:
If you are interested in registration for the 2025 Sacraments of Confirmation and First Eucharist at the Our Lady of Lourdes Parish please see the letter below.
These sacraments are available to those from Year 4 up who have completed the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
